I have the opportunity to take some Bridal pictures soon and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for site locations. I'm looking for an indoor location in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that would make a elegant background for Bridal pictures.
If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Thanks!

Are you the photographer or the bride?

Indoor... That's a toughie... You might post the question at texasphotoforum.com... I was browsing there over the weekend and they had lots of forums that might address this... Now, outdoor... the Mandalay Canals in Las Colinas. I was out there yesterday morning around 10, and there's a nice breeze on the south side, by where they have gondola taxis (although I never saw any of these and don't believe they exist). Fair park is also cool for outdoor shots. Sorry I can't help with the indoor part. I don't go in many places, I guess. Maybe one of the high-end hotels? Adolphus or something? I've never been in, maybe it's ugly in there, who knows. Anyone else?

Maybe the Crescent hotel? They have a nice garden area-- but then we're outside again. :)

The Adolphus is beautiful, but rather small... the Mandalay has some great places inside, and the Gaylord Texan is supposed to be absolutely stunning. I've not been there but I have seen pics on the web and it seems to live up to it's reputation.

One thought though...what are some places that are important to the prospective bride and groom? What places do they frequent, or have some special meaning to them? Where were they engaged? Where was their first date? Ordinary locations become extraordinary when they mean something to the couple. If they love playing pool together, a shot of the bride in her gown, playing pool in a pool hall could be really fun...or if they love the horse races, take her to Lone Star Park. Talk with the bride and find out what they love and what is important to them.

Forgot about the Gaylord! That would be perfect!

Thanks for the great ideas. I am the photographer and have taken protrait pictures before, but they've always been outdoors. The Bride is worried about the Texas heat and wants indoor pictures. I'm going to look into some of the places you mentioned and ask her about some places that may have special meaning to her. Thanks again, and if you have any more suggestions please pass them along.
