I think you take some of the most creative photos cryingdragon, I hope you don't let your challenge scores get you down. Of your outtakes, I like the BW best though it could use some heavier contrast. Still, as funky as your submission was I do think I actually prefer it of all of them. Nice work.

I shot this for From the Ground Up, but ended up entering Transportation instead. Maybe i should have stuck with this. My transportation didn't exactly transport very high. :-\

Here are a few of mine:

I really prefer this to my entry but I felt that it didn't meet the challenge as it wasn't truly "From the Ground Up."

I also like the composition of this one better than my entry as well but I didn't swap out my lens until I was on location and as you can see, I got a few specks on the sensor. I WISH we could clone / heal out sensor dust!!

Hey Guys,

Well here's my 'outtake', after taking this shot and editing it I then checked which rules the challenge was running under and was gutted to see it was Basic...I should have checked first. Would appreciate any comments/feedback on either of the shots, thanks :o)

My 'Outtake'....

My actual entry...

I personally prefer this one..it says more about who she is...but there was no gust of wind in this one...

For a shot in your album, sure, but your challenge entry buries it big time. It is such a great shot.

They're both beautiful... I think I'm partial to the other one because of the huge volume of negative dark space at the top, which really gives a sense of her small size, and of course because of the lovely billowing fabric in the curtain. This one's just as good though.

Didn't enter, but thought about entering this. Figured people would be sick of flower shots.

Do you think the color version would've done better?

Very possible. I gave your entry a 7 but I do like the greens and blues of the color version. Nice work.

I originally posted this one then removed it because I didn't like the perspective or the background.

So the only alternative view I had was this, my entry. Obviously the colors aren’t as rich but the original had a gradient in the sky that gave me post processing fits.

Original ->

I finally figured out how to fix the saturation this week by only bumping the blue and green hues. Live and learn.

My apologies if Flickr goes down and the thumbs aren’t viewable. It seems to be happening a lot lately.

Here was my original...which my son convinced me was the best out of this bunch:

Finished 10th

I preferred this one...

What do you think???

Here was another option...

And another variation on the entry...

Would love some feedback...
