Most of the time, we are looking for ways to avoid (or remove) the power lines and such which are so pervasive in our urban environs. Sometimes I think the streets look like the back of my computer desk.

I've lately been trying to find interesting configurations and make them the subject of the photo, or at least incorporate them into the photo in a logical and perhaps esthetic manner. Comments or suggestions on how to either shoot 'em or lose 'em are welcome.

This isn't necessarily my BEST example, but it's one of the funniest, and I just took it today ....
Welcome to Palm Strings

Very funny! Cool pic. Did you ever see the cell phone relay towers that they designed to look like palm trees? They do look a little better than the plain towers. But anyways, that is a very interesting approach to power lines.

General, as a kid I grew up in San Francisco (until 8 years old) and had dreams about the over-head wires, the wires for the buses (still have them today), etc. in the city and how in those dreams they were holding me down and keeping me from flying (you know the flying dreams, etc., you have as a kid). It was only until my 20's that I realized why I had those dreams.

Briphoto, I HAVE seen those cell phone towers made to look like trees! My boss allowed the city to install cell phone towers on his land (business), and they made them look like pine trees! They looked pretty good to.
