Can someone give me a quick overview of how this system works? Their site isn't real clear to me. I have four lights - how many of these would I have to buy? Do I buy something for the lights and then something different for the camera?

Thanks,

RP

You can buy one transmitter/receiver pair. And then a separate receiver for each light.

If you are in a studio, you really only need a transmitter and receiver. The rest of your lights can fire optically. You only really need the separate receivers for each light if your lights are far enough apart to not be triggered by another strobe, or if (as in the case of wedding receptions) other photographers may accidentally trip your strobes by using the flash on their cameras. (for this reason, I use one receiver per strobe)

What he said, except with the Plus II there's just one unit instead of a dedicated transmitter or reciever. You'd want 5 - one for the camera, one for each light. And if you have a second camera you want to use the lights with (or fire remotely), just remove one from one of the lights.
