I'm about out of business cards and want to upgrade a bit...current card is pretty much this:

The email address was changed and the street address dropped (to make room for the ungodly long email address!)

So here is my general idea for a new card, with some variations...
input please!!

In no particular order....

The back is blank, but doesn't have to be.

These designs aren't bad, but they just seem a little busy to me. Is it absolutely necessary to include the 'weddings seniors portraits events' information on the card?

A business card is generally used as simple contact information that you hand to someone you are having a conversation with. It doesn't generally need to contain the same information that a 'flyer' would, describing exactly what you do. It says 'photographer' on the card, which implies these other things and supports the conversation you are having with the person you hand it to.

I agree with John. And add that your name is there twice, which is kinda redundant. Here is my card(s):

My name is on there twice? You mean the website? Cindi, your name is on their three times! LOL And while i like your logo, is it necessary to say 'professional' photography? Do you offer any other kind? (like kodak has professional film and non-professional film). Just wondering.

And while I meet with a bridal couple and give them a card, or a HS senior/parent, they don't necessarily know I do other photogrpahy. I also leave cards in various places, pass them out to people i meet, hand them out at events and when I'm shooting for fun, etc.

I'll give it some though. I didn't think it was too busy compared to many cards i see.

How about I leave the www off the front - put it and my proof site on the back... my lab's biz cards have the logo/name and contact info on the front - the back has 'visit us at' and their websites, as well as a list of what they do. I'll be using vistaprint and can have the backs printed free or cheaply.

It's not busy compared to many cards we see posted here. I'm impressed that you didn't try to include a portfolio of photography on the card ;)

My last card had no address - and i had to keep giving it to people - i left it off for a reason - the reason being no one had to come to my house...now i have a studio here so the address is important. Also, in my County Beaver is a upper middle class town, so it's to my benefit to say so. :)

Alrighty...down to one final decision. I have no logo...i have an idea for one, and here are two versions of the same card, one with and one without.
the back of the card will have my email and websites.

Opinons on the logo?

I like it. The penguin is cool.

Nice design! I like the little character heh! I think you should maybe consider adding your web address on it? Or would that make things too cluttered?

edit: Sorry! I missed the web site on the first couple! I'm not sure if I like it to the side? But I guess it helps save room etc

I really like the card. Personally, I would leave the penguin off, although he is rather cute! I also like that the back of your card is going to have the rest of the info...less clutter= more impact, but you still provide the information.
