Taken on the same morning. Probably the most amazing light I ever saw in Richmond park that morning.

Here's a couple not related to my entry, but that I considered for the Free Study.

The first is just weird, but interesting. ;-)

More normal, I suppose:

Another entry that lowered my average, but that I liked. I'm sure it was just too dark for most, but it is just what I was going for, so I'm cool with it.

Here are some outtakes...hopefully more crowd-pleasing.

This was my entry which did well, but surprisingly got very few comments. I find that odd becasue I feel it is much better than a few other photos I've entered that got a decent amount of comments. I really like the shot though, but should I have entered the color one instead?

Entry: Color Version:

Here is another series of shots with the same guy. I was considering using one of these instead. Should I have?

Considered the B&W version (had it in for a few days and replaced it)

And also thought of entering this:

I'd have gone with the black and white one.

Thanks. I asked several non-DPC people and they all said they preferred the colour version.

Don't get me wrong the color is nice. But for me, I will almost always choose a black and white over a color photo. So I guess you should take my opinion having that in mind. :-)

My entry and it had very minimal post processing. I wonder if it would have been voted higher by the alternate title I ALMOST used: "Do not go gentle into this good night - Rage, Rage against the dying of the light!" - Dylan Thomas

I took several of good shots at the zoo one day. I pulled the zebra out at THE LAST minute. Did I make the write choice?

This was my entry - The original is a thumb in the remarks portion of this photo.

Here are a couple others I considered.

I don't like the orange cones in the second one here. Would it have been okay to clone them out?

My entry

I had a bunch but these two are already posted. There's way too much to dislike in all of them and none would ever do well in a Challenge.

It looks like I'm on a mission to actively Tank (with a capital "T") my Votes Received Average.

No soup for me....
