OUTTAKE:

I like my entry much better, but I wonder if this had made it above 6...or didn't artifidial ice have any chance

not really an outtake, because I didn't enter in the Ice challenge. I had to choose between Ice and Low key (chose wrong I think :P )

I made an animated gif, played it on my laptop whilst covering the keyboard with a black piece of fabric, and a black bakground. With a long shutterspeed and zoombursting :-)

I know it looks like some photoshop filter, but it was for basic editing so that would not have been allowed. The photo is almost as it came from the camera apart from a little replace color to make the screen of the laptop as black as the background.

Entry
My wife liked it for the background, but it was poorly received

Outtakes:
(Likely would have done better...)

I probably should have submitted my first outtake. What do you think?

This is the shot that was all ready for entry. Unfortunately, my internet connection had a flaw from the company end. Alas, it didn't make it in in time.

Where do you think it would have placed?

My entry... (and yes, I climbed down there to take this!)

My outtakes...

I had more difficulty than usual choosing my shot for this challenge. I was really torn between two different shots and whether to go B&W or Color. I'm happy with my score but curious if one of the others would have done better?

I like your actual entry the best, although I am out of kilter with the average voter as I gave it 7.

I probably should have gone with this one instead of the duck-in-a-puddle-of-ice lame shot I did :-(

I was at the Foothills Camera Club meeting last night and they were exhibiting there Open Digital competition entries. One would have been REALLY excellent for this challenge. I believe the photographer mixed in some food coloring into some water and then froze it. They then let it thaw like an icicle. It look sooooo cool. If we do this challenge again I would love to try it.

You only need the #, not the entire URL.
