sounds like the 17th June, perhaps an early morning shoot at Long Jetty? Open to suggestions of course. Or even the Haven at Terrigal would be great

ok, 17th June

Possible locations - Long Jetty for early morning starters (sunrise)
Wamberal, Terrigal - for surf locations

The Entrance - for people spotting, good candids there

Avoca (near the rocks) good for late afternoon

I will get a feel of what people want to do. Please feel free to throw in any suggestions

Sounds great to me Lisa - well done! I especially like the idea of surfers as I would like to get some shots of these at some time soon.

will be speaking to my uncle shortly who is a mad surfer, i will get some ideas of places from him :)

What time do you think we should meet up? what time does the sunrise?

looking forward to it

too early

I think it is about 5am but Keith would be the best one to answer this question as he is on the road by sunrise. I'm always still in bed until I really have to get out. Depending on where we go first, I am thinking of staying close by so that it isn't such an early start. If it is around your place, I'll stay at Pearl Beach if it is Long Jetty way, may stay at the Entrance or drive up from PB

Lisa, do you know what time they feed the pelicans at The Entrance? That may be something to think about if we are around that area. We could get Owen to give us lessons on how to take those pelican shots he has done so well on. Don't do surfers just on my account - I'm happy to go where the majority want to go. I'm just looking forward to catching up with everybody and having a chat

Fiona - i believe the pelicans get fed at around 3-3.30 but i will check.. great idea by the way

is that 3 in the morning!!!!!! ...lol .. i would be sooooo up for taking photographs of pelicans, or any birds actually ... but not at the crack of dawn .. i have to draw the line somewhere in regard to my photographic obsession!!! ... owen got his amazing pelican shot with the canon 100mm macro lens ... that was one of the photographs that prompted me to buy that particular lens .. owen was nice enough to let me use it at our last gtg .. i got the lens a couple of weeks ago, but havent been able to use it that much .. PELICANS WOULD BE EXCELLENT ... !!!
i'm really wanting to come on the 17th ....

A little reality check for all you sleepy heads - the sun is currently getting up just before 7 and the sky starts to get light at about 6:20.
Thats not really very early...

3-3.30pm silly ;p

so how about a sunrise start at Long Jetty
Followed by travelling to Wamberal/Avoca beach for some surf shots and beach shots

then to the Entrance for pelican feeding and afternoon tea :)

then whatever.... ??

I will have my car so i can fit in possibly 4 peeps
