Could we have a food challenge?
Some pretty interesting things can be done with food

It's also pretty difficult to take pictures off, especially when it's hot, I believe, so this would be a challenge all right! I'm all for it.

Ya, I was going to suggest food after reading an article about how difficult it is to photograph food and the tricks that the pros use. My incredibly sharp and focused mind made me forget so I'm glad you suggested it.

dpchallenger, did you read this online by any chance? If yes, do you still have the link and would you be willing to post it?

Thanks!

That's why you have to freeze the food first. ;)

Yes, I think I read it online somewhere. Not sure because I drop by Chapters Bookstore a lot and browse through the magazines and photography books a lot. I''ll poke around on the weekend and see if I can find it.

Oh yeah, some of the tricks that I remember were:

- using plastic ice cubes in drinks

- using small plastic beads to simulate bubbles in carbonated beverages

- using things such as raw chickens and painting them so they looked juicier

Sorry, I have to say this!

A food challenge is one I could really sink my teeth into.

Looks like it was not a raw chicken but an undercooked one. The ol' memory's starting to go!
