I want to thank all those that left the nice comments on my Road Signs Re-Visited entry.

And I wanted to show the original photo and my entry.
It was not staged as some may have thought :)

Original with black border

Entry

As you can see it may actually be the last stop sign you would run :)

the original is better, IMO

Interesting. Rooster liked the original. I liked the entry (and gave it a 7). The original would have rated a 5. Well, that's what makes this an interesting site.

The original is better,IMO, and would be even better if the stop sign was on the left third line.

I like them both, But I do like the original more I think as well. It shows quite clearly there is no going around the stop sign.

I agree that the original is better. There's more sense of 'stop' with a larger wall.

I must say that I like the 'original' version and have added comments to it!

Thanks for the comments!

I was torn as to which one I should enter, and I decided on the close-up which showed more of the rough brick texture and contrast in colors.

I thought the wide shot was cool in that it did show the actual location of the sign.

The big thing that bugged me was that the wall was not level horizontally and it made the cropping a bear. I had a strong feeling that it was going to be one of the first things someone commented on.

Dang brick layers nowadays, what is a person to do :) LOL

Thanks again.
