All I've done for the last few weekends is shoot families and kids for holiday cards and gifts (not complaining, mind you). Today I thought it time I grab my own two girlies and get our holiday card shot for this year.
Here is ours:

Anyone else enjoying the holiday rush? Rushing around to get pics of your own family? Lets see 'em! Show those cards! :)

I haven't done one yet because I've been waiting for it to snow and it appears to be on the way. WOOHOO......

That would be fun. A bunches of you trimming the tree or something like that! :)

My kids suck in the studio, but I threaten to keep shooting until they behave and they eventually let me get something! lol
For lil ones, though, a shot of everyone playing is much easier than forcing everyone to sit still & smile.

Edited cause :P

I have decided I should just shoot my daughter against white muslin and then my son and just combine em together... LOL

I have done some really cute photograph's of two separate families, they turned out great , they got the pictures from me and they went to shutterfly, I was expecting them to go through me though but they were very happy with everything and they ordered packages from me and got their cards from shutterfly , so as long as they are happy , I am happy , and sometimes its ok if a company helps out because if thats what the client wants they get , I helped them with everything even for there, I think thats great customer service , anyways it was my first year doing the hoilday cards, I have a few more from there, alot of people want the snow and it started to snow last night ,

so bacially I think the key into getting someone to have cards done by you, you should make the design and everything ,

happy hoildays

Has anyone seen the greeting cards you can slip a photo in the front? Its like a frame,(made from cardstock) then it opens up to a card. I thought those were kinda neat, people can keep the picture and toss the card if they want. I saw those at CVS pharmacy, well they were new to me. I might do something like that next year and plan ahead.

This is mine, not adding text to it, just putting them in cards with openings for a photo.

I didn't send this out, but had it on my website last year.

That is an incredible interior tree shot! I love it!
I was hoping to corral everyone tomorrow after we paint the living room ;)
Maybe sunday!

I have been thinking about getting some cards made with one of my shots but haven't done it yet. I did order some 8 1/2 x 11 photo books from SmugMug for my family. See how those come out. Maybe there is still time.
I am thinking of using this one- taken near midnight Christmas eve last year (yeah- a California Christmas!)

OK...Here is mine. Hope it gets some smiles!

I think on the back (postcard) I'll put:
"Warmest Wishes for the Holidays" or something like that.

Just did ours now. Took the shot from atop a ladder in our living room against the white carpet. Shelby thought it was so funny that I was up a ladder that she couldn't stop giggling.

We got cards to insert 4x6's into this year.

Merry Xmas everyone!!! :-)

This is our holiday picture for this year. We choose a photo from one of the year's trips, as opposed to going for a specifically winter-related image.

We order through Shutterfly, so they apply the holiday card theme.

I haven't decided if I'm going to use this photo or not. I'm going to get it printed today and see how it looks, but I think the focus is just a little too off for me.

But I'm going to see how it looks printed before I reshoot if needed.

Here we go. However, since I don't have my own printer, I have to scrap the written portion and go with a template from one of the big box stores.
