So any of U peeps still around? I've been involved in other things lately, but I've got a pretty steady job now... with weekends off once we get back to full staff. (I love overtime!) N E wayz, just seeing who's around since it's the summer and I'm itching to get back behind the lens.

I will be in Augusta during August and September. I have never been in Georgia before, but if someone wants to organize a GTG that is no more than 2 to 3 hours away I would be interested.

I was going to post a GTG for people that was close to ATL and such. I was just going to wait until it cools down here some. I don't think anyone would want to be out in this 95 degree weather sweating their asses off just to shoot some pictures.

I was thinking about the end of September or maybe the beginning of Oct.

I wish I had found DPC before I moved up from GA. I would have loved to meet other photographers when I lived there.

I know what your saying about the heat. A Callaway Gardens / Pine Mountain tour along with surrounding attractions such as the Little White House, Wild Animal Park, and Liberty Bell Spring Pool would be a nice G2G.

I'd be interested once it cools off a bit.

Sounds fun!

Yeah spouses are always welcome. We will need someone to carry our gear. If you guys figure out a weekend and I am off I will try to make it.

I'm interested if it is before Sept. 27.

We could put something together. If everyone is cool with some time before Sept 27th then that is fine with me.

The average temp of Sept, 27th is around 86 degrees just and FWIW

Yeah, fall is better. I went out on Sunday for maybe 20 minutes and sweat through everything I was wearing. It was gross.

That's one reason I left Houston and moved north!

I am working a lot of weekends now, but with enough notice I may be able to do some shift swapping.

The summers are bad here, at least for me.
Example today's weather. Note the red boxes and NO wind to cool down the temps.

Thats not as bad as it normally is. 67% is uncomfortable to most but it's those days where the humidity gets up to 80%+

I would much rather wait until Fall when it cools off a good bit.

okay well let's put something down on paper and give everyone time to keep the date. (or ask for it off)

My weekends off:

September: 13, 14, 27 & 28
October: 11, 25, & 26

Any of those days I am fine with. If we meetup Septembet 13th someone has to buy me a beer cause that is my birthday.

07/31/2008 08:21:36 PM · #21
Consider that beer bought. (if it falls that weekend)
07/31/2008 10:40:17 PM · #22
I can be off at anytime so it doesn't matter to me really.

Scott Kelby is organizing a World Wide Photo Walk on August 23. They have finally listed Atlanta as one of the cities. No details are available yet. Click here for details and to sign up.

It is free but there are only 50 spots. So be quick.
