I have a new site launched and I'm curious about a few things...

One:Is the upload and basic navigation relatively easy and quick?

Two:I can't see it in Firefox but it is viewable in Safari. Anyone else having any strange issues such as that?

//www.stevehillphoto.com/

There are still some additions and tweaks that I want to make but the basic functioning is my main concern, at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Loads fine in FF for me. Some of the images seem a bit too grainy (mainly in Street Photography). Was that intentional?

Also, the larger images seem to be a bit slow loading. And the loading of the thumbnails seems a bit choppy.

Other than that I think the layout is good and the navigation works very well.

that's exactly what I've experienced using FF ... love the navigation and background image ... some of the photos seem to have a few jaggies/grain (not sure if you meant them to be that way) and a few of the larger images are a bit slow to load ...

I agree with what's already been commented. Overall it looks really good, though I'm personally not a fan of the overlay (it's a bit busy for my tired old eyes). The images do seem to load too slowly for their size (do you have it set to load different sizes depending on the viewer's screen resolution or something? All of the images seemed generally similar in dimensions to me, so I didn't see any I thought were "large", but some loaded far too slowly for my taste -- I'm on UK 10mb/sec here, with a decent laptop); some took up to five seconds to load (that's like waiting half a day in Web time!!). I also didn't like having to touch each thumb to get the next image to load; arrows or navigation on the main images themselves (or on the page or whatever) would help in my book.

Lovely shots; I've always liked your work, it's nice to see a good site supporting it.

Regarding picture load time,I just went through every photo in 1 min 11 sec. As I went deeper into a gallery the load time slowed , but not by much.

Once again I'm using IE with I think a 5 meg broadband connection.

Anyone using Firefox on a Mac?

I use Firefox and I can't see the site. Anyone know why?

The pix need to be resized . That's for letting me know how they look.
