To really force creativity because the topic is difficult to photograph (not a simple object, light effect, or shape).
A few examples to try to show what I''m getting at (but far from the only possibility - I''m really hoping others will have ideas which would be even more interesting to photograph)
Challenge1: Photograph a lie. (as in an untruth) Challenge2: Photograph invention. (not an invention but capture the creative moment of invention) Challenge3: Photograph creativity. ...
Thats sort of the idea, any others or thoughts?
(bah the title should be A really difficult challenge of course :, it would be nice to be able to edit the titles since we can''t preview, or preview ;) )

How about something like limiting your range, example your home, has to be something inside your home, or out your front door, has to be something within a block or less from your front door. It would make us look at things that we see every day in a new light. What do you guys think?????? |

No, I like the original idea. I'd like to see how people would handle photographing something like an emotion. "Transitions" was a bit like that, but I think some kind of concept or emotion or idea that takes an abstract noun to describe woul be fun. I know, let's make a "Love" challenge! Ewwwww, I can see all the roses now.... |

How about a scavenger hunt - admin posts lists of things to "find" and we put them together to take a picture of. Creativity gets bonus points somehow - or perhaps that's part of the challenge, to set them up a certain way? Just happened to talk to someone that I did a scavenger hunt with a few years ago, was fun. :)

I am so down for the sound one. Light rail passes by my apt (literally, i can see the tracks from sitting here in my chair) and they have this ding-ding bell and the skids sounds.. oy...and across the street is construction. Or as my boyfriend likes to call it, Stomp! rehearsals. (which we saw a lil bit of at Great America once and that stuff is pretty neato)

that would be fun. Although I think a lot of emotion challenges may go for the obvious of showing someone's face?
How about 'Hunger'? You'd get a lot of people eating and a few stabs at metaphor.
How about 'Loss'? A lot of cemetary pictures, I think.
Or 'Wishes'. Now that would be a tough one! But I predict pictures of expensive materialistic things, fancy houses, etc.

I like a lot of these ideas... also, some time back someone had suggested "body parts". How about Fitness/Health? How about occupations? I think each challenge has come with it's own difficulties.
