Could anybody recommend a good photo gallery package that can be attached to your own website? Something that you can sell photos from rather than let them help themselves.

Gallery v2.3
You'll need DB access. I use this, I like it quite well. You can water mark, control access, set users, passwords, groups. There are APIs to some photo printing places. Or, you can download a custom shopping cart to take care of it yourself.
Best part...its open so anyone can program and build modules. |

The jalbum template (simple viewer) is incuded in Adobe Lightroom which I am using on the website //www.alangillam.com/sailingprospero/photo%20galleries/foleux/gallery%20foleux.htm The website is not currently being used to sell images but I am working on the new one now.I am looking at Gallery v23 it does seem to have lot of configuration options.

depending on the template you are using from jalbum, you can setup your website with print on demand or direct sale. I use one Gallery //photo.hlehnerer.com/Gallery.html that connects to DigiBug and another Gallery //photo.hlehnerer.com/GalleryExtra/Fractals/index.html that connects to SnapGalaxy. Works ok without problems.

I stumbled upon PixelPost last week, I have yet to try it but seems really good with many addons, one of which is a RedBubble for sale addon.

You can check out clustershot. They are an agencty essentially but you can have your own branded page with your own web domain, here is mineSimpleFoto
