I ALWAYS always always shoot in RAW format. Today I did a photo shoot and about 75 clicks into it I realize my camera was set to FINE. ARGH! i dont know how it got changed, its always on RAW.

So I changed it when I noticed and shot more, but I love the control I have with RAW.

:)

My balloon entry was screwed. I was playing with the in-camera sharpening/sat/contrast etc, and forgot to change it before doing real photography..

My entry was shot on the HIGHEST settings possible for all of the options.. Not fun to edit, but it did look really good out of camera. :)

Even though some of the data is lost due to compression you can still gain some control by opening the jpeg files in the raw converter. ACR and LR allow you to do this as well as aperture on the MAC.

Ditto what Colette said. It's not perfect, but there is still hope.

Hey, Cory...if your shot looked so great right outta the camera, hehehe, what needed editing??? Muahahahaha! [RUNS]

that is what I am doing. I got my lighting right, so I really dont have much to adjust, just miss that control!
