Its the evening before rollover here and my current score is 7.45, don't care where this lands though because Don left me a lovely piece of blue that fulfilled any expectations that i might of had for this image. Thanks for all the comments and the great score and thanks to my mate Christoph for kicking that bucket so hard that he split it.

Inspired shot John. Congrats on another blue - are they getting boring yet? :)

Hmmmmm...now if you had a chicken or a pigeon flying out of that bucket...then I'd REALLY be impressed.

But, this expressive image continues to validate your "Super Hero" status in my book.

Congrats on both of your blues, John! ;-)

You are the master of monochrome toning - and that wonderful soft sharpness too.

Well deserved Blues.

Good job and truly the best in show. Plus, la joie de vivre that permeates all your work. And a french palindrom for your image:

An amazing shot! And I agree with markwiley, how are we supposed to compete against something like this? Honestly though, it's amazing and well deserved ribbon!

How are the rest of us supposed to compete with stuff like this? The setting is interesting and the light is great. How you found someone that can kick a bucket like Beckham kicks a ball is beyond me. His kicking form and facial expression are perfect. The position of the bucket and shadow are great. And, I would love to be watching over your shoulder when you process an image like this. Congrats on the well deserved blue hand and ribbon.

A longing for what is real. Walls made of stone. Doors made or wooden boards. And an authentic, sincere youthful kick by a chap who could be anyone, anywhere … or any age.
Just love this!

Best in show. When you set up a shot it had better be perfect, and so it is. A more squeamish photographer would have been afraid of this light. You made it work for you.

Hahahaha, good one very dynamic and great framing and BW as always.
A ribbon or thereabout is well worth the risk of giving your lens a whole new, bucket shaped look :)

Nice action shot and great use of the shadows. Makes the scene more interesting without in any way loosing the bucket as the subject.

Far too aggressive and french to do any good here. Just thought I would mix it up a bit.

"OK, when I say 3, kick this heavy metal bucket right at my camera. 1...2..."
Looks like the work of jagar. I think the heavy shadows add to this piece, although I might have cropped out the white door.

Oh man - this is just outstanding. Not only is it composed perfectly, the image itself is technically flawless. Another one of the top ten images if not the overall winner - there is some tough competition in this challenge and I'm only about twenty images in so far. Very nicely done. Perfect.

Great shot! Black and white conversion works flawlessly here. Detail is nicely accentuated. The look on his face, the determination... it's almost as if he's refusing to succumb to the euphemism.
