 Not the best bird photo, but couldn't resist submitting with the bird sitting on what I hope passes as a rib.

Oh! The notion that the branch had "rib like" qualities went right over my head. The fact that that would put it on a completely different scale than the cardinal tends to belie that idea, IMO.

I thought about a "bird rib" entry, but felt I needed to find a bird skeleton for it (forgetting that dead creatures don't score well on DPC!). Anyhow seeing this I don't think that was necessary. This is lovely.
