This is a cool concept. I can tell its a fork, piercing through a liquid surface. Nice capture. It was quick enough to catch the surface tension of the liquid being broken, but before ripples spread out to far. While I can tell what the object is, it is an unusual way to see a fork, and still meets the abstract part of the challenge.

I really like the color but I think I'd prefer a different crop. The bottom half is distracting to me.

Surface tension around the tines of a fork emerging from coloured water or water lit by a coloured light? Nicely done (even if I'm wrong.

It can instantly be spotted as a fork. That being said, I wouldn't say it DNMC simply because it is still abstract and it is still Macro. I like it. The purple coloring adds the vibrancy it needs. Nice shot.
