the baby owl is alone in the nest at the top of a dead tree. The 300mm lens wasn't quite long enough since it was necessary to stand a distance away in order to get a good angle.

Out here in Colorado, we call that owlet a branchling. Soon to be a fledgling. Your season is about 8 weeks ahead of ours, as our owls just laid eggs 10 days ago. Very nice wildlife image. Meets the challenge well. 10 (However, I'm pretty sure one or both adults GH Owls were close by.)

Nice shot. The owl almost blends right in with the tree. Great camouflage for him, lol. Simplistic, yet detailed.
