Challenge: Art of 2011 (Advanced Editing VII*)
Date: Nov 10, 2011
Date Uploaded: Mar 13, 2012

Camera: Motorola Atrix 4g cellphone. Doh! it's better than no camera at all but still hate that I didn't have at least the p&s. Though I must say the image grain was actually quite interesting in quality.

---------------------

Thank you all for the comments and votes. It was a shot in the dark as I had no idea how this would place.

Editing consisted of cropping and toning the image. A vignette was applied to the bottom. The fog that day was the thickest I've ever seen it and this wasn't the thickest point. Interesting enough a few blocks away from shore, it was very clear.

That's the phone I have! And I often refuse to take pics with it because I'm then dissapointed that it's nowhere close as with my D60. After seeing this, I'm going to challenge myself. Thank you!

With a mobile phone?
The best camera really is the one you have with you.
Great image.

I like the classic feel to this one. Makes me think of film photography.

The centered composition, the fog the leading lines, all great, I also like the fact that the figure seems to be hesitating, something we always do before the unknown, very nice.

I love this. The fog gives this such a dismal feeling.

Fog is simply the coolest thing to shoot in. Love how it isolates each into their own world. Even the trash cans sit alone. Lovely.

This is a truly beautiful image that has memorised me for more than twice as long as any image I’ve viewed so far. I’m only 27% into voting but I feel this will be one of my favourites for the challenge. The central figure really makes the image complete.
