 Not too confident about this one.
I really wanted to shoot for this challenge. But for most of the week the weather was awful or I frustratingly had to watch a decent sunset from my office window where I had to stay working.
So on this evening I rushed home from work, grabbed my gear, and ran to stand on a hilltop getting soaked in wind and freezing rain- hoping for some drama. It started to snow, and by the time I shot this I could no longer feel my hands.
So even though this isn't all I hoped for, I'm posting it after all the suffering I went through to get it :P

The timing with the vessel in the suns reflection was perfect Brent. Beautiful shot, I also thought it would have ended much higher, but awesome work nonetheless.

This is great without looking like it's trying too hard. It's a nice perspective. There's something about the foreground cloudy haze that warms the image up. I feel that if those weren't there it could be just a ho-hum picture. Well, if that and the great lighting weren't there...

This is my pick for the blue ribbon. It's a great scene with the rain shafts filtering the sun. And, the ship and harbor are great elements of interest. Great tonal range and superb composition. 10
