 The photo was taken at Bunch Beach by Fort Myers, Florida. Instead of shooting right into the sunset I took the shot off to the left to capture part of the on-coming storm.
I love the way the driftwood looks as if it is on fire with the sunset reflecting off the wood.
I actually rented a 300mm lens and a 1.7x multiplier for this trip, but my favorite shot was taken with my own gear.
Man I wish we go to 900 pixels!!!

Photoshop CS5 processing:
Converted from RAW
Leveled the horizon
sharpened
Cropped
Cloned out a some sensor dust
Images/adjustment/HDR toning – used defaults
Vibrance & saturation
Birghtness/Contrast
Also used neat image to remove the graininess caused by processing

wow, makes me want to find bunch beach next time i'm in sw fl. even if i can't get a photo to look like this, i can say i saw bunch beach. which is better than a bunch of beaches. sheet.

Hummm great location and slow shutter speed.. If it was me I would have put my camera side ways ( Portrait ) and went alot closer to the wood... thats just me
