Checked in on DPC today and saw the title of this challenge. This was the first thing that came to mind. It is a view I've photographed often, as I just love how it seems the city is just off the end of this abandoned road.

I started editing it in a far more natural way and just felt so unsatisfied. The more extreme I got, the better I liked it. I hope you do too.

Merged 3 raw exposures in HDR Pro
straightened
cropped
SEP2
huge/saturation

I did know the pp'ing was not going to be to everyone's taste, and although I could easily have edited the halos, for some reason, I liked them. Thanks for the comments and the votes, everyone!

I think you may have pushed the PP a bit too far as there are a lot of halos. If it was intentional IMO it doesn't work.
The scene it's self is very nice and would have looked good without the PP.

Interesting to be sure, and a good point of view. Editing is ok, but not exactly my cup o tea. The glow could be a bit larger or fainter and maybe not hurt anything. Or maybe it works over the city, but extending over the tree on the right throws it off.

Looks brooding and deserted, perhaps post apocalyptic.

on first glimpse I like it, but then I start to see the halo around the bush to the right and somehow this spoils it for me

Great angle but I'm not crazy for the harsh pp
