I was taking pictures of my daughter and this gal came by and was watching me. She had her big german shepard with her and asked me,"do you need a big bad wolf?" I laughed and said, "sure" and a shooting I went. I did alot of dodging and burning in this one.

Dogs name is Spirit.
Thank you!

Congrats on a top 5 finish Sonja.

Has a definite mood to it with the desaturation.
(You had enough ribbons anyway) LOL

Well Done!

I love the deep velvety red in this! the selective desaturation has a bit of the higher contrast look obtained from using the Channel Mixer, which gives this a great effect. Great work

I think this was a good idea, and a nice photo. I think maybe I would have liked it better without the selective desaturation. Actually, now that I look again, I think the desat would be fine, but I would rather have seen just the little girl and not the dog. Her expression is so perfect, that should have been the focal point and the dog is distracting from it. She has great eyes. I hope to see more work with her in it.

Beautiful. The selective desaturation is very effective on this image, and the composition is exceptional. 10

Great shot, only drawbacks to me is the desaturation & the model is looking off into space.. 9

Really nice, looks more like a Belgian Malenoise than a wolf, but close enough for me.

Selective desaturation is a great technique to highlight parts of the photo. Here, though, I am not sure about it. The reds are so beautiful vivid, I am sure they would have worked well on a coloured photo. As all other colours were taken away, the dog's toundge and a bit of the girl's face remained redish. Anyway, composition is great, and I love the expression on her face! :-)

The selective desaturation looks fantastic here, and the high contrast black and white is great too. A definate 10 from me.

Great shot.
8 from me
and the only reason it is not higher is that the dog looks like it can't be bothered.
Well done

Just perfect. Great composition, model and "wolf". Nice use of selective desaturation. This has to be in the top few, hopefully a ribbon.

WOW!! This is an amazing shot. Truly stunning. I couldn't think of a better photo in which one should use selective desaturation. Great job. You can truly tell that a ton of effort was put into this shot; it definitely paid off! 10!

Very nice traditional rendition. I think this might be a bit better if the 'wolf' wasn't so close. Great use of desaturation, good expressions on both the model and the dog. Well done!

I don't remember little red riding hood having a dog; or is that supposed to be the wolf? The dog seems only to be concerned with whatever treat is in the basket! :) Sorry, that's just what came to mind when I saw the photo. This image is excellent. One of the best in the challenge. I think the selected desaturation works very well here. The only flaws in the image I see are the slightly overblow highlights on the dog and some perhaps rushed photoshopping in some spots. Still a 10 from me though and I absolutely love it. I'm trying to work on more constructive helpful comments.

This is a very beautiful photo to look at. You've saturated the red almost to perfection in my eyes.. (or as close to as one can come), and the dog was a very nice touch. The one flaw I see is that the saturation has made the girl stand out a little *too* much.. as if she was pasted in to the picture. perhaps some softening of the edges or blending would have helped that.
