Thanks to everyone that took the time to vote and comment.

This was taken at the Moanalua Botanical Gardens. It's a Monkey Pod tree and there are 3 or 4 of these beautiful trees there, one of which is famous.

In 1973, Hitachi got permission to use one the trees as their corporate symbol. The tree in the shot isn't the actual tree but I thought the person that was walking across the park added to the shot so I went with this one.

Here is a shot of the tree that Hitachi uses:

Everyday, bus loads of japanese tourist stop at this park and pose in front of this tree.

beautiful tree!
But something seems to be wrong with the color of sky behind the tree. next to the tree and above the tree color is much brighter than behind the tree.

I love it. The guy really adds to it. What a cool tree! We have some oaks here in Texas that spread out like that. I bet if it could talk, it would tell some mighty stories.
