Havent been taking pictures lately but had the time to do so when we went away as a family to the mountains. It;s autumn of course here and there is beautiful autumn colours. We went to visit Amanda ammie and was great to see her again and even sleep over with them. Thanks again for your hospitality Amanda

I took many landscape shots with autumn in mind but this shot was to me the special one Im glad I was able to shoot. It was taken on the way to the mountains in a little town Winterton. What makes this special is first that it's one of my sons - Dawid.
Secondly it was taken at a spot where some history took place between me and my wife Ingrid. Back in 1992 when we hardly knew each other, on the spur of the moment we drove back from Varsity to my parents place for a quick visit. How this happened was a long story but the short of it was that as it was a long journey and at like 02h00 in the morning when we got to Winterton..I was so tired that I could not drive any further. She did not have her driver's license so she did not drive herself..which left me with no option but to park the car underneath these trees and sleep... She was not impressed as she was sitting in the middle of nowhere, with a strange young man whom she did not know and she was beginning to wonder what she was doing there..she was wide awake and could not sleep. Can you believe that it ewas after this short holiday that she fell in love with me...:)

20 years later we are revisiting this place with 3 sons...shooting frames of them kicking leaves through these very trees where my old car was parked. I had to go through a nostalgic journey when I thought about this while I was shooting. Thanks to my wife..as always

The fun of kicking the fallen leaves as high as you can - very well expressed. The movement works to express the playful feeling. Composition seems a bit out of balance.

Oh! This is just soooo good. What memories it brings back. The slight motion blur with the wonderful panning blur, the colours and the emotion are all just fantastic. The first image for me to vote one and I feel I am seeing a winner. Well done!
