Although it's way too sharp, I love the layers of contrast and mystery of life found through the satisfaction of search.

I like the horizontal lines but I have to wonder if the impact of this shot is greater in color.

Not a typical Ansel Adams shot but I really love the patterns you captured here. In fact this really makes me think of Freeman Patterson to honest. :)

Wow! Great drama and vanishing lines effect to this scene, as the alternating horizontal stripes of sand and water gain distance from the viewer. To my eye, this is almost an abstract image. I like the sky treatment and the tonal range is rich . Superb 3 dimensional effect with the foreground beach grounding the scene. Who needs mountains, when you have this natural beauty? One of my top 10 picks. 10

This shot has wonderfule light, great lines and great tones. Clearly a landscape, the scape of the land has an abstract look. In my humble opinion, Ansel was more of a realist than an impressionist in his photography, abundantly depicting scenes of classic American mid-western scenes. Truly a wonderful photo! Would this be an example of Ansel had he shot this scene? I don't know.
