 I know it's not very creative, but I just could not resist taking a simple photograph of a meadow katydid for this challenge. For this entry I am not overly concern about placement so long as I get rid of that peacock photo currently nesting in my top 5.

For this photograph I went with a wider crop in order to get the insect's entire right antennae within the frame. I also made some slight adjustments to the overall brightness, contrast, and black levels.

Conocephalus is a genus of bush-crickets, also known as coneheads. Although I think this little guy or gal is more specifically called Conocephalus Brevipennis, but as this writing I am not 100% sure on that.
