Thanks for all the appreciative comments (and generous votes). I'm really happy to have done okay in a free study.

I went past this spot again a few days ago and it was totally devoid of fallen debris. I'm not sure whether that was due to the vagaries of the wind or whether the gardeners clear the surface for the sake of the fish.
