...from Critique Club...

Hi Todd

FIRST IMPRESSION:
10 all the way!

COMPOSITION:
Amazing. Love the way you used the track lines with the road on the background to create this dynamic shot :)

TECHNICAL:
Very good...would like to see one with the foreground in better focus. Natural lighting is great. :)

ARTISTIC:
Very well seen. I think the duo-tone look of it works very well. The texture of the rocks works beautifully with the 'softness' of the mountains in the background :)

OVERALL:
Very creative, very well executed shot....i'm jealous :)

CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB!!

Cheers and good luck in the future challenges.

Congrarulations on showing off our Altamont area. I took some pics from the other direction on Sunday and almost entered one, that would have been funny.
Great job.

Congratulations! A well deserved win. I'm sure glad I stayed away from my train tracks idea. I would not have stood a chance. Enjoy the moment.

Congrats on a well taken photo. I like the sepia tone and the way the tracks are setting.

I like this picture a lot. The curve is great. I think it needs a little bit more contrast. Good luck!

Great shot. The low shooting angle works really well, as does the sepia. One of my favourites this week.

This is the kind of photos I really like. B&w (sepia) and great composition. Perhaps just a little more of the hills in the background. But it depends on what there is to see. I had probably also made it a little bit darker, but that´s just a matter of taste. High score from me. Well done.

This is a really nice shot. The slight tilt distracts me and I'd like to be a bit higher from the ground so I could follow that nice curved track out of sight.

This is a really wonderful picture with lots of depth good and excellent contrast and a great shooting angle. I also think you did a great job on focus and the picture has a wonderful open feel to it (background) as well as a very close foreground. 10 !

Good shot. I would've like to have seen this going a little straighter to give it the "neverending" feel. I like the choice of B&W for this pic. - Inspzil

Great shot!!!! I was going for this setup as well, but all my train tracks were covered in snow. You couldn't tell what the picture was because all the railway ties were buried. I would have lost miserably to this shot. I chose another avenue for my shot. Go for the gold. 10

Great composition and sharpness. Wonder if less light would have been good here, some areas seem a bit wshed out. Great shot though!
