 This is kind of flirting between metaphorical (likely what will do worst in this challenge) and actual. This lake has a dead end, which is somehow constantly growing in size. I'm not sure if it's due to years of flooding that has rotted away the roots of the trees, or if something is not right with the water (this lake should be clear, but clarity is less than 6 inches!).

Post Processing:
* White Balance
* Increase recovery and Black point
* Topaz B&W Effects
* Crop
* Increase exposure and contrast
* Export as TIFF
* Resize
* Save as JPEG

Of interest, this is one of my many recent black and white images lately. I have been seeing the world in a more contrasty way, looking for scenes that will look good sans color.
