 These birds were playing chicken with me. Doing passes, closer and closer. So I switched from shooting the Killdeers, to them. They were actual just checking me out. As after a few minutes, they landed near by. I must have been on their landing spot.

Before shooting these birds, I switched up my camera. Mainly adjusting autofocus to super sensitive and erratic movement. Also I used all 61 autofocus points, with auto selection. The resulting tracking performance was impressive. Once locked on the subject, sharp head on sequences were a reality.

Really think this should have scored higher, as I know how difficult it is to get a sharp shot of a bird that flies erratically! I'm still impressed.
