 three exposures combined using HDR Efex Pro

resulting image processed using Capture NX2 and Color Efex Pro
-brightness contrast
-noise reduction in sky
-unsharp mask
-crop
-color enhancement
-vintage film effect
-classic soft focus

top/bottom letterbox border added using Canvas X

final adjustments using Capture NX2
-Guassian blur applied to sky
-final adjustment to contrast and curves
-size and save for DPC submission

This is a studio setup, but it IS really sand, not a folded piece of cloth.

After much deliberation, this comes out as my only 10 - so many excellent images at the top in this challenge :) I love the simplicity of the design and the tremendous impact of this image.

Looks like drapes. I am amazed how sand mimics so many things we use daily. It is truly a versatile substance.

I have a suspicion that this is a piece of material that is draped and your "sun" is a studio light, but it looks lovely :-)
