[Jul. 5th, 2012 11:01:53 AM]

I am headed out camping and I won't be able to see the results of this challenge but I think with my score that I will at least be in the running for a ribbon or H.M. So I thought I would leave some comments before I left.

I got this idea the first day that the challenge was announce but I new I probably wouldn't have time to shoot for it because of a busy summer schedule and I was going to be out of town for part of the week. Then after having to evacuate our house for a couple days for a wildfire, I had decided I just wasn't going to have time. But I just couldn't let the idea go. So on the last day of the challenge I shot all the photos, (except the smoke ones) I got those from the wildfire near our house, I guess we didn't get evacuated for nothing : )

So I got up that morning all ready to shoot for the challenge and I had a horrible case of vertigo. I was so sick I couldn't even move with out getting really dizzy and almost throwing up. I was really upset because I had my heart set on it, so I took some benydryl and took a nap and hoped that it would help. Luckily it did but then I only had half a day left to shoot and edit so I did a marathon photo session getting all the photos I needed. Two of my girl, the clouds, a close-up of a Christmas ornament covered with glitter for the bokeh in the background. I even lit a fire in our firepit so I could get photos of some flames. After all that was done I had about 3 hours left to edit. 1 expert edited photo is hard enough but 2 was really a challenge. It's not perfect and some parts really bugged me, later when I had more time I re-edited it and got it more the way I wanted it.

Anyway, thanks for all the great comments!

I knew this was yours. It's absolutely brilliant. Between you and timfythetoo DPC has two of the best children's photographers I've ever seen. Four of my top five shots are of my kids so I always look to you and timfy to see how I can improve. Excellent job!
