Children are a rare subject for me to shoot. These five kids are the assorted offspring of four different couples at a Canada Day weekend spent cottaging, waiting for the darkness to come so they could play with sparklers.

My favorite in the challenge. Not "abstract" enough for some, I suspect, but the feeling the motion blur, the delight on the children's faces, and the light evokes is sheer delight. Makes me smile and feel warm inside. Voted earlier.

cool shot! personally, i love the balance between the stopped and the moving - it really captures the dynamic of being in such a fun place.
