 Two days into the challenge and I am sitting on a 6.55. Very pleased with the score. I like high key and I like blurry images, though neither of them on their own are tickets to great scores. You would think the combination would make for an even bigger stinker.

This, of course, is Rowan. Simple shot with the lens baby on. Two lights used. 430ex through anmbrella camera right and a 580exII on camera bounced off the ceiling. Set it up to be pretty high key right out of camera. I much prefer high key in advanced edit. Basic can be challenging, not being able to do any dodge and burn and stuff. But this came out pretty nice. Sepia transition in Lightroom and simple edits in PS with a bit of Gaussian blur added after the final sharpening to firm up the softness. With this score I am hoping for top 5. Really not a pretty challenge overall. Just because something is high key and blurry doesn't make it visually pleasing or interesting for the challenge. Should be a low scoring one. We shall see.

So many people have the right song but seem to be choosing sixpence none the richer as the artist. They did do a cover of it, but it is not theirs in the first place. If you have never heard the song before this challenge and hunted it down to find 6PNTR version, or that is the only version you have ever heard, my suggestion is for you to go and find the original version by the La's. Far superior version.

Beautiful soft and gentle high key portrait. I like the pose and the pov.

Song is There She Goes as sung by Sixpence none the richer?
I Googled and got several songs to choose from, and after listening to them this seems to be the one that fits (and the one that I actually realize I've heard before, lol.) Thank you for getting me to hear some enjoyable music.

Lovely tones and softness. Sure wish Basic had allowed us to bring back a bit of the detail - those eyelashes especially cry to be brought out IMO Voted earlier
