I'm surprised by the provenance of this ... the texture of the shot, the contrast, the detail, the sense of grain all seem to be your work. The green border ... (expression of horror)! I'm afraid I voted it way down, just for that: I cannot look at the image without my eye being drawn to that green square, and that makes it difficult. Where white or black serves to isolate from environment, alows you to choose the context of exhibition, this ... well, it baffles me. I'd love you to explain the thinking.

Nice...

Congratulations on your 10th placing. This was one of my favorites because this image is truly naturally beautiful without any drastic ps help.

I'd prefer a tighter crop on the bottom.

A great picture of something that's probably quite ordinary.

You`ve used an "Artist`s eye" for this one !
Someone or something in either the immediate foreground or in the top third of this image would have made it perfect for me.
Very well done

Wow....great composition...an alternative might have been to shoot lower and up and make the angle of the path even more severe....but I like this very much. Nice soothing scene and colors....maybe more reflections and blue in the sky? Really fine image as is. Good Luck.

This is a great-great picture with all the curved lines and reflections but the title keeps it back from being a travel guide...

certainly a winner and one that will end up high in this challenge. The curve, the earth, the lake and the gritty foreground invites the eye back again and again.

I would love to see this shot with autumn colors.

Wonderful choice of viewpoint and very dynamic subject - I'd love to walk down here. It strikes me that you may have focused a little too close though. I sense a bit of sharpness rescue towards the back of the focal range and you may have been better off focusing about 2/3 of the way into the distance which would have given you an almost infinite focal length (particulalry if were shooting at around f6-8). Border is a bit heavy, but I love it.

Very nice indeed! I like the way the path fades off to the distance, and the way the trees are so evenly spaced. Well done!

Brilliant composition. I must start remembering that I want square compositions when I'm actually taking the photo. Thanks for the reminder. 10

Great shot, I can here my feet shuffling along the path.Loeve the curve, reflection of trees. Would have worked well in vanishing point & backlight challenges too.

I would have cropped to just show the top half of the image to emphasize the trees and the reflections....nice photo!

very nice picture. i really like the leading lines, and the repition in the trees. great composition overall. i don't think the green border was needed, but the picture itself is very well done.

Beautiful lines and patterns. Best of the challenge in my opinion. I might have used a simple white border. Good luck.

strong composition, great use of greens and browns, would like something in the title or frame that told me where this was shot

Nice leading curve and reflection, however, cropping to make more of a panorama may have worked better. 6

Tremendous composition. I guess you run the risk of the border police with this, in that not many people really appreciate a border, and will knock off points when they view it as excessive. I like a border and won't be knocking any points off.

Good composition and framing. I like the open sky in the upper right half. Not sure about the color of the frame.
