My wonderful 9 yr old Alexander the "Dragon Hunter", who's up for anything especially if it's a fairy tale about fire breathing Dragons.
The title is drawn from the book "How to train your Dragon" by Cressida Cowell. The ranges in this image are called "The Drakensberg" literally meaning The Dragon Mountains. The Zulu name uKhahalamba means "barrier of spears".

I knew the title would not be considered a Rhyme thanks the speed readers who failed to note "...Give us your best visual interpretation of a nursery rhyme or fairy tale. Your title should reference the work you are depicting....

Being an Expert Editing Challenge my guess is that there will be a fantastical 3 day shoot and edit from you know who...as if he doesn't have enough ribbons already! My image is shot as is, just some EV, curves, levels, DeNoise and Sat boost.

ETA: Nice to see Samantha (Blue) and Jennifer (Red) up there with Cristophe (Yellow) and his 3rd place I think reflects the voters leaning toward Rhyme above Fairy Tale.

That's all you got for comments? What a shame! I really liked this - contrasting the black of earth with a fire-y sky hinting at a dragon lurking just over the horizon, the castle (or maybe a tree, but it looked like a castle to me), and the young boy with a backpack and a sword - to me this represents the essence of a fairy tale (where do all the adults disappear to in most of these stories?). Most of all, this releases the imagination by providing just the framework, and leaving the viewer free to fill in the details.

The colours made me think it was a RSA image. Nice one. Getting it whilst spending time with your son is so lekker.
