Challenge: Train Tracks (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Nikon D300

This isn't the shot I really wanted to enter as it looks too much like my other train track shots. I tried to get permission to get into our local railroad yard to take picures but was shot down because of the whole homeland security issue. They were afraid these images would get on the internet and people could track their comings and goings.

I really thought this was fabulous, Bob. The toning, perspective, and focus are spot on. If this isn't what you wanted I bet that something else had to be totally awesome!

Congrats on 4th place!

Just had to post again when I realized how close to the top you are and how near the bottom I ended up. Kind of an interesting finish for a brother and sister.

Well you didn't get to go where you wanted to shoot, but you still came up with a beauty. Congrats on your HM!

Solid image, wd on HM.
For 20+ years we were in the same boat thanks to apartheid. Now it's your turn... :) You couldn't photograph much man made stuff here in SA without some little despot using some questionable law to give him/her a power trip. Terr's would no doubt obtain their "data" in a far more secretive and unobtrusive way.

Loved the symmetry in the shot so much that I spent a while counting all the asymmetries :) Wonderful cold blue tone too. Congratulations!

Beautiful shot, Bob! And don't you just love that Homeland Security excuse? Sad. Very sad.
