I thought this was a tomato hormworm, but after a bit of research, realized it's a tobacco hornworm. I can say, it sure loved my green pepper plant. It ate through 4 peppers and totally defoliated the whole top of the plant. Here's a wiki... //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manduca_sexta.

All the questions in the comments fit, so they are all right!

Is this the way I should go? That depends on where you want to get to.

Is this the head of the caterpillar? No.
Good image. This end of the caterpillar is a tiny bit oof but I only notice that because the rest is beautifully sharp. Overall the image seems a little dark for me. I would like to see more light tones as it feels a little flat.

Q: Can I crawl up-side-down?
A: Absolutely with my new Anti-Gravity boots!
Really nice shot 7 and thats from a bug close-up shot hater. Well, i like them but see too many here... This one is very creatively done though. Honestly if I ever see another damned Dragonfly I think I'll puke.

Answer: Yes
Question: Would this be a worm's eye shot?

Nice focus, dof, composition. Interesting textures on the worm / bug.
