Simple setup at home: print of a treefrog silhouette on lightbox, leaf on top, camera on tripod straight above. No excursions at the Amazonas for me :(

The leaf is the backlit subject, dammit!
Of course I knew this would happen, this is dpc after all :)

Correct, besides that the feet of this species are translucent, not solid.

One of my 10's - and I just had a couple. I knew the leaf was the backlit subject. Ironic, actually - I got dinged partly because my subject had too much light on the front. Love it, though. Congratulations on the HM, anyway.

Congrats on the HM!
Great set up, would've never known.

I was wondering if you'd get some dnmc votes even though the major element in the shot was the backlit leaf. Still a strong finish though.

Congratulations. What a great pic. Was that taken in the "wild" or do you keep a Terrarium?

Wow. Lovely shot, the sort of delicate lighting I expect of you in the studio Oliver, but this looks like you were out in the world and you got it there too.

It's a pity it's a silhouette now, not in line with the challenge. Otherwise nice picture.

Great idea! The color of the leaf implying the color of the frog. I also like the detail of the leaf. Super

This is a great photo. Love the feet :) But this may not qualify for the challenge since the subject is silhouetted.
