I like the execution of this idea, no pun intended.

Great idea and beautiful execution. Paradoxically, the image looks almost floral.

This is a very different take on the trees challenge. It may not be the stunning beauty of landscapes but it does make you stop and think of the fuel to those nice, warm and toasty times hanging out near the fireplace. I wish the the light was better to illuminate and separate the axe from the firewood in the backdrop. Something as simple as a flashlight, a longer exposure and someone to shine the light up & down on the back of the axe & handle would have made the axe standout from the backdrop. I do like how you have a dramatic spotlight on the tree stump that holds the axe but the rest of the composition the lighting falls a bit flat. I wonder what this looks like in color and if it would have been better visually over the B&W tones.

Creative take on the challenge and very well done without PP.
