 I was shooting this turtle for the current Relection Without Mirror challenge when he suddenly went into the water started swimming.

"Oh dang. He's gone", I said to myself.

But, he swam the entire length of the pond... just at the surface, and then came out in some weeds on the other side.

"Dang", I said again, "Those weeds are too distracting! Arg!"

Then, it hit me. (no... not really hard. But, it was right between my eyes.)

Two distracting elements.

The piece of stuff on his face was pure GENIUS on his/her part!

Thank you, Mr/Ms Turtle! You're brilliant!

This was my top pick.
Of course the dead weed on it's face is a distraction but the piece of
grass on the right with the "H" on it is also distracting. It looks like
someone tried to sigh there initials on the grass.
I like the way this is framed and the eye just pops.

Seems low on contrast, I would of bumped it up, and the colours as well. Still maybe you wanted it that way.

*Snort* Excuse me but you've got a wee bit o Turtle snot hanging from your head.... This is great very distracting, yet perfection in the portrait!! May be the best in this challenge!!
