a slow and shallow stream of water flowing into the ocean separates different kinds of grains (normal light sand and iron-rich black sand). A beautiful example of the general phenomenon called granular segregation

I too was very curious about the water textures. It looks like seran plastic wrap a little. Congrats on your TT finish.

Fascinating post challenge information - I gave it a good score but did not fully appreciate what I was looking at. I thought most of the effect came from post processing which I found over-the-top. I'm very glad many others were more discerning - whether they knew about granular segregation or not. Sincere congratulations on the top ten.

WOW THE WATER ALMOST LOOKS METALLIC LIQUID LOVE THNE EFFECT AND THE COLOR TONES VERY DRAMATIC BUT ALSO EMOTIVE RE THE MOCEMENT I LOVE IT FROM SHEZ
