I think Christophe is the best photographer here. I chose not one of his easier images, and mine is not as good as his, but I preferred to try something very tough than mimic an easy one.

It's quite dark, but I had huge bending problems (maybe because of the high ISO I used to freeze the movement) so I couldn't enhance that aspect of the image.

Yes, he sleeps :)

But trying each time difficult shots at dawn the level of my strength is falling O.O

I think whenever anyone attempts to redo a Christophe image, their appreciation for his skills are multiplied. Congrats on the tt, Alessandro!

Congratulations Alessandro on the strong finish! And thanks a lot for your kind words about my work. Frankly, I had some luck when I did my shot, everything went exactly accordingly to the plan (sun, see, sky, jump, planks), which is not always the case. Given the fact your conditions weren't ideal and given the processing limitations (regarding banding, Topaz Denoise is very good as far as I can tell), you did a great job. Thank you again for choosing one of my image, much appreciated.

I think you did a great job recreating gyaban's work.

I was not the jumper :D

The problem is what I explained in the image details: I have had bending problems. The exposure was ok but I was not able to increase the brightness because the sky showed a lot of noisy lines.

A lot of little flaws are what makes the difference between Christophe and me :)

Excellent job man! I figured this was you, but man that's a tough image to re-create! Maybe that's why you chose it. Congrats!

Would like to see the fence looking a little more asymmetrical, but nice work anyway.

Good copy. Not nearly as clean as Christophe's - but then whose is?

This brings back some great memories, thanks a lot for choosing one of my photo :-) I am very flattered. I must say you did a very good jump with the location choice, sun position and the jump! If I remember correctly, I believe that instead of using planks cut in two, I broke them on my knee prior to installing them on the beach, so that the middle parts would not be too regular. But I'm just nitpicking, the result is great. I hope you had much fun with that one :-)

That's a tough one to mimic... and you deliver a very good rendition from the original. I like the mood, though it looks a little darker in my monitor. Good job!

Easily recognizable, but not as good as the original, especially in terms of exposure ad POV

If you went to all the same effort as Cristophe did for this scene, you deserve some kudos.
