This ancient crystal prism belonged to my grandmother and has been a fascinating object to me since I was a tiny tot.

Slight crop, Viveza 2 on the crystal, and selective colors to bring out the reds and subdue the blues a bit.

I like the idea of the prism and I think the red and purple colours are working well together, but the background is very distracting to me.

Excellent idea, though I found the colors highly jarring. This would have been a "technically" good entry into high contrast as well.

I'm finding this image extra distracting with the red/blue color combo and all of those strands.

Neat glass prism but the busy background really detracts from it. This would look great on a plain white or black background. Backlight it to get rid of reflections in the glass and the backlighting will bring out all the triangles.
