Original image cropped as shown here, then flipped horizontal, vertical, horizontal again pasted 4x in new document to get symmetrical square, entire construction flattened then flip 'n blend run numerous times. Nik CEP4 used on composite. Star created by adding a white dot and morphing it.

i really like the image, for me the star as it is doesn't work... but love the colours interaction...

I'm afraid I don't get it, but that may be my own failing - O Tannenbaum, while a Christmas Carol, isn't not about a decorated tree, but the evergreen qualities of the fir tree as a symbol of constancy and faithfulness. And I'm not sure what all the color mosaic is all about either.

OMG! A Flip'n'Blend! I like the off-axis rotation, the lush color, the mind-boggling detail, & most of all, that Star in the middle. What a great idea. If you haven't already done it, I hope you'll post a full-sized version. It would be awesome.
