This isn't too anonymous but that's ok. This gave me an opportunity to take a picture of someone who doesn't like posing for me as much any more.

The photo on the ipad is this one:

And it was a remake of this one:

When I shot the remake, I had to move fast since he didn't want to sit still. And so I did not pay attention to the dice count. The dice value should have been 8 since that was his age in 2010. By the time I noticed it, he no longer wanted to play, and I submitted the shot anyway.

Now as luck would have it, he's actually now 10, so the picture in a picture works pretty well here :)

P1204049_ten PART 1 DPC

[Jan. 27th, 2013 05:17:01 PM]

Please, please, please... for the love of chocolate... show me where in the rules it says that I have committed a DQ-able offense. Actually, when you find it, I challenge you to post the rule here and in the forums. And if something is found and it gets DQ'd... c'est la vie. No big deal.

Trust me when I say that if my user name (or one of my adorable and DPC-recognizable children) appears in my photos, it's not to draw attention to the fact that I am the creator of the shot. I actually prefer anonymity as it makes it fun and challenging to do something different.

However, there are times when falling back on a good old standby just plain works.

I love taking pictures of my kids and DPC gives me a good opportunity to con them into posing for me :) In this case, I caught the boy off guard and said "quick! do this for me now!" There's no time to go back into DPC and wait for the watermarking system thing to do it's magic. We just shot it and I hoped for the best.

Thanks for the comments - I really do appreciate them. I just don't understand them :)

Wonderful photo. I recognize the "someone who doesn't like posing for me as much any more" part.

Although I guess anyone could have used your shot so maybe youre right. I also wondered if it fell under the adding of text rule somehow....At any rate I never voted, but I wouldnt have dinged you if i did :)

Not offended at all. Just irritated by the general consensus that this might be DQ-able and then no one submits a validation request. (Probably because DPC is full of a lot of nice people.)

Also, I'm now bumming that the strongest point of this image was my watermark :) lol.

i see your name here....should i be seeing that?

seriously michelle, this isn't deserving of a dq by any stretch of the imagination from any of the rules.

great picture by the way, and great title :)

I find the other clutter on the display and the copyright notice too intrusive. But a nice execution of the idea.
