Matthew 7:3
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

Well after a 3 year break I'm returning! What better way to get my feet wet again than attempt expert editing.... which I have never participated in.

I've actually wanted to shoot this image for a long time. I'm a youth pastor at a small church here in Oregon. I've always thought this verse would make a good visual image.

Honestly, 800 pixels just doesn't do this image justice. I'll post a link to a larger file after the challenge.

Welcome back! And congrats on the tt. Not bad for your first expert image. Not bad at all.

I don't know if voters will like a modern interpretation, but this image is wonderful

Not a very friendly shot, eh? But the comparison wasn't meant to be. Love the tweezers. Do you realize what two-eye vision gives us? Depth perception! How could you see clearly enough to try to remove a splinter without both eyes functioning well? I especially like your use of the suit, vest, and tie to convey a pompous attitude - completely oblivious to his own problem.

The connotation of what appears to be a preacher casting judgement on his flock really appeals to me. Thank you for your parody its so true!

I like the look of righteous indignation...captures the meaning of the whole beam/speck thing
